For example, the impact on the mind of a reader by reading Karl Marx will be different from reading the dramas by Shakespeare or by reading the love-poems of Keats! In addition, political and economic causes also contribute to the decline of a language. Your opinions need to be without ambiguity, for their clear expression. 4. The reader forms his opinion on the basis of your writing, not on the basis of what is in your mind. 5. Incompetence or incompleteness of the information tendered cannot be condoned. Research your facts well, before incorporating them in your essay. 6. Let the metaphors that you use create before your mind vibrant thought processes and a likeable visual image. Shun worn-out metaphors. 7. When I was a trainer, my manager was Navin Kumar. Before working at HP, I used to work with Convergys. I was a front end operative at each of the other jobs before HP. Navin Kumar was my favorite because he had a relaxed mentality to the job but held accountability for actions. He allowed me and the other Trainers to have a say when running the Training module. He had the final say on all ideas but was open for input to improve the function of the Trainers efficiency. He was very personable and did not have the typical manager attitude. If I did my work when he wanted it completed and it was up to his level of quality his relationship was more similar to that of friends than a manager. If you failed to meet his expectations then he came down on me with a very strong force. He was not a typical manager in that sense. He set lofty expectations because he wanted me to succeed at a high level instead of setting low goals and just settling for an easy way out. He would set weekly goals and would reward the highest trainer efficiency scores that was internally maintained by HP Training team. This was motivation to test training methods and try to beat out my co-workers. He also had a level of respect for each of his employees that I never received at one of my other jobs. In The Wizard of Oz realizing that a simple man can do great things is the most potent statement in the story. The Wizard was a simple man from a simple place, but managed to control an entire city just because he believed in himself. Self –belief can be very powerful and allow you to achieve great things like completing an education, getting a dream job, or even giving the mindset to overcome an illness. In The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, L. Frank Baum uses personification of the Scarecrow, the Lion, and the Tin Woodsman to accomplish the importance of believing in oneself. The Tin Woodsman mumbles to Dorothy and The Scarecrow to get the can of oil and to lubricate his parts so he can move freely again. The Scarecrow, using his witty mind, was able to listen to The Tin Woodsman and did what he asked. Despite having no heart, the woodsman was very gracious and so thankful for being let free that he cried. Showing emotions is another example of L.
